Pictures from the Beskids |
The Beskids are my beloved mountains. There was a time when they seemed boring to me, they were low, uninteresting. I looked up to the much higher mountains with steep walls and everlasting snow and ice. Then I discovered the contemplative glamour of the Beskids and I discover it again and again with my camera. Magnificent Lysa Hora widely spreads there its four axle guide stays: Luksinec, Malchor, Zimni Polana and Velky Kobylik, like an octopus spreads its tentacles. Threatening silhouette of Smrk has an effect of bird of prey ready to jump, regal Knehyne is surrounded with its pages - mountains Velka Stolova, Mala Stolova and Norici Mountain and wide-branched Travny clutches deep valleys among its arms, where even in midsummer time you can walk hours in deep cooling shade. But it is not only the sightly summits what fascinates me in the Beskids. There are torrents which take the glassclear water to the valleys, there are deep forests which surround a wayfarer with their heavy resin scent and dead silence, there are another beauties, but you must discover them yourself.
